AICG: Artificial Intelligence and Creative Generation
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues:
In the rapidly evolving digital era, artificial intelligence (AI) has transcended its original boundaries as a computational tool to become a driving force of creativity and innovation. This special issue, AICG: Artificial Intelligence and Creative Generation, aims to explore the expanding frontier of AI in creative generation — from visual arts, design, and media to cultural expression, education, and human–machine collaboration.
Artificial intelligence has begun to redefine the processes of artistic creation, aesthetic perception, and content production. Through generative models, such as diffusion and multimodal learning systems, AI can now simulate, augment, and even co-create with humans, leading to new paradigms of creative practice. These technologies not only enhance productivity but also challenge traditional concepts of authorship, originality, and cultural identity.
This special issue invites contributions that examine AI’s role as both a tool and collaborator in creative fields, integrating perspectives from design, communication, art, cultural studies, and computer science. It seeks to highlight how AI can inspire novel forms of creativity, expand the boundaries of imagination, and foster cross-disciplinary dialogue between technology and the humanities.
The goal of this special issue is to showcase theoretical insights, applied research, and case studies that demonstrate how AI-driven creative generation can contribute to cultural innovation, sustainable design, and the redefinition of human creativity in the age of intelligent systems. Scholars, artists, and practitioners from diverse disciplines are encouraged to share their latest findings and reflections on this transformative intersection.
