Smart Technologies, Sustainable Tourism, and Pro-Environmental Consumption: Advances in Environment and Social Psychology
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The Special Issue“Digitalization, Tourism, and Sustainable Consumer Behavior: An Environment and Social Psychology Perspective is a blend of environmental and social psychology, tourism and hospitality studies, consumer behavior, and digital technology. It aims to advance our understanding of how digitalization, including social media, online platforms, AI-based services, virtual/augmented reality, and smart destinations, shapes tourists’ experiences, decision-making processes, and sustainable consumption patterns.
This Special Issue particularly welcomes studies that explore how digital environments influence pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors, well-being, place attachment, destination image, risk perception, and ethical or responsible consumption. We are interested in work from different cultural contexts and disciplines that offers theoretical development, methodological innovation, or practical implications for policymakers, industry, and communities.
We welcome a diversity of articles, such as conceptual and empirical papers, reviews, critical commentaries, and meta-analyses, for submission to this Special Issue. We will accept manuscripts from different disciplines, addressing topics related to the scope described above.
