Dear Colleagues,

Education today has been overwhelmed by the new demands caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. This, together with the social and family problems that the confinement of students in their homes has brought with it, has led to the need to insistently raise the advisability of carrying out actions that ensure the comprehensive training of students and the ability to fight against problems. health problems that have been emerging and that are contaminating the illusion and entrepreneurial capacity of our young people, such as social and psychological individualism, lack of self-esteem, pessimism or lack of emotional intelligence.

Given this, from the educational systems we have to propose actions that advance not only in the classic curricula, but that promulgate actions of a preventive and/or developmental nature in values and contents that are currently not of interest for academic development, thus promoting empowerment and social unity in the face of the challenges of the 21st century. Physical, mental and social health requires a multidisciplinary and collaborative intervention that, from the educational field, can and should be undertaken with courage, dedication and perseverance. In this monograph we will try to address lines of study and research related to educational actions in the face of these challenges of personal and social development of this century.
